Description
Slide Rail Sales Representative – Join Our Winning Team!
At DP Nicoli, a 100% Employee-Owned Company, we provide highly specialized shoring and steel equipment to the construction industry. As a Slide Rail Sales Representative, you won’t just be selling a product—you’ll be a trusted expert, a problem-solver, and a go-to consultant for customers in the field.
A slide rail system is a modular, trench shoring system used to provide structural support in deep excavations. It consists of vertical steel posts (rails), horizontal panels, and spreader assemblies that slide into place, creating a secure enclosure to prevent soil collapse. This system is commonly used in underground utility installations, pipeline projects, and deep excavations where traditional trench boxes or sheet piling may not be possible. Slide rail systems are designed for flexibility, allowing for various configurations, including linear, pit, and complex shoring setups.
A slide rail installation advisor is a skilled professional who specializes in helping customers assemble and install slide rail systems on job sites. Their responsibilities typically include:
- Hold jobsite hazard assessment meetings to communicate potential hazards associated with the system.
- Assessing soil conditions and excavation requirements
- Coordinating with excavation crews and equipment operators
- Understand layout, proper positioning, and means and methods for advancing slide rail system.
- Teaching customer to build spreader assemblies, load panels, and predicting issues that could arise during the installation process.
- Monitor damage and excessive abuse of the shoring system.
- Ensuring system stability and compliance with safety regulations
- Advise on system removal, ensuring safely and limiting damage after project completion.
These installers often work in industries like civil construction, utilities, fuel tank, and pipeline installation, requiring knowledge of excavation safety standards and heavy equipment operation.
What makes this role unique? It is an entry-level position with limitless potential—we’ll help you find your perfect fit based on your skills and passions, while offering top-notch training and career growth opportunities.
