Job Title: CNC Lathe Group Leader-2nd Shift

Job Summary:
This position is accountable for operating production machines to produce parts in accordance with established standards and guidelines as well as act as a back-up for the Lathe supervisor.
Reports To: 2nd Shift Supervisor
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 1 year of experience as set-up operator
Ability to sit, stand, twist, bend and walk for long periods and lifting up to 35 lbs.
Job Responsibilities:
Load, unload and deburr parts
Fist article inspection and follow the Quality prescribed plan
Inspect finished parts and compare them with the requirements of the blueprint
Meet production goals in terms of quality, quantity and cycle time
Help oversee day to day production on machines 64, 65, 47, 34, 35, 55 and 59
Help with planning of daily activities and tasks.
Help with set ups and programming
Look for ways to improve programs
Schedule the members of the department with work centers and corresponding jobs
Train employees and submit training documents to HR and set new goals for them
Diagnose and solve problems within the department
Offer input for reviews
Give supervisor daily oral reports
Follow ISO standards and practice Lean 6S manufacturing principles
Use of proper PPE at all times
Preferred Skills:
Mechanical aptitude
Basic math skills
Blueprint reading
*Hours are Monday-Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. with a paid lunch.
*10% Differential.
*Air- conditioned shop.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
