Summary : The CNC Machinist is responsible for the safe operation and set up of a wide variety of Computerized Numerical Control Machining Centers (CNC) or other production machines using programs and tooling that have been previously used to manufacture a product and is capable of doing this with little supervision. This will include a Swiss Lathe machine.

Education / Experience :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 5 years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Communication Skills :
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, mechanical drawings and specifications. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Math Ability :
Ability to add and subtract four-digit numbers and to multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of measurement, volume, and distance. Basic understanding of Geometry and Trigonometry.
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out complex instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in situations requiring a high level of judgment and reasoning.
