Job Description:
1) Keep up to date on Mobile Service Guidelines.
2) Keep up to date on Mobile Friendly Recall List.
3) Scheduling
a) Verifying Drive Times from job to job, for ease of confirming dates and times with customer.
b) Must review a number of questions with the customer to determine what other factors affect the visit. For example, an oil change or tire rotation requires jacking the vehicle. This requires consideration of where the vehicle is located; how level the driveway is; if it’s paved or not, etc. This level of questioning is not required if it’s a simple headlamp replacement. The Mobile Service Coordinator must know when and when not to ask these questions.
c) Other considerations regarding vehicle access, pets, HOA restrictions, etc. must be accounted for. The scheduler needs to factor in travel time and customer interaction time as well.
d) Cross-selling additional services over the phone during the appointment setup
4) Repair order management
5) Dispatch / appointment routes
6) Technician Communication:
a) Needs to coordinate each day’s schedule with the Technician, ensuring the service vehicle is clean and appropriately stocked.
7) Customer service:
a) Confirming appointments for the day and following up with the previous day’s customers
b) Selling additional maintenance items
c) Tracking customers current mileage and maintenance needs
8) Warranty claims/ parts for RO’s
9) Fleet handling
