What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Specialist/ Front Desk position at D&T Excavation?
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist/ Office Front Desk coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will must possess a positive attitude, strong leadership, be a critical thinker, adapt to changes, attention to detail, and have strong organizational skills and communication skills. Having a construction background is a must.
Duties
- Review and process invoices daily
- Ensure proper approval and coding of invoices
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Correspond with vendors and team members
- Manage W9’s to ensure compliance with 1099 reporting requirements
- Partner with Office manager for month end duties
- Answer phones
- Company fuel tracking
- Office supply ordering
- Phone and Ipad set up for new employees
- Ability to scan and use printer
- Equipment Tracking, etc.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of accounts payable or relevant experience
- Comfortable with learning new skills
- Knowledge and understanding of accounting with basic skills
- Construction industry accounting is a plus
- Proficiency with Excel and operating a computer
- Use of 10-key or calculator
- Ability to scan and use printer
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Active listening skills
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
- Knowledge of FMCSA
