What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ranch Hand position at D&W Livestock?
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Ranch Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with cattle and a strong understanding of ranch operations. D&W livestock is a long time established ranch that utilizes horses and UTVs to move and manage cattle. This is not a strictly horseback position. This is a cow calf ranch that is located in NE Wyoming that does not do any farming or haying. Due to the dry climate we do spend a substantial amount of time on water management.
Duties
- All aspect of cattle handling and care including
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to maintenance needs.
- Support ranch activities such as fencing, welding, water pipeline and well repair.
Requirements
- Proven experience in animal handling is preferred
- Valid driver License
- Experience with livestock is desired.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 38 per week
