Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily care and feeding of livestock, including horses and cattle.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Perform basic repairs on equipment and facilities as needed.
- Supervise and assist with the growing of crops, ensuring proper planting, watering, and harvesting techniques are followed.
- Conduct regular inspections of fences, barns, and other structures to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the ranch property.
- Engage in heavy lifting tasks related to feed, equipment, or other ranch materials.
- Utilize basic math skills for inventory management and record keeping.
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge is essential for equipment repair and maintenance tasks.
- Experience with equine care is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with farm machinery operation is required.
- Ability to weld or perform minor welding tasks is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and long hours outdoors.
- Previous experience on ranch or farm operations is beneficial.
- A willingness to learn new skills related to ranch management and animal husbandry is essential.
- Valid drivers license.
