We are looking for a Memory Care Program Coordinator - Activities for our Assisted Living community (15 beds).
- Full-Time schedule.
- $17.50 to $21 per hour based on skills and experience.
Memory Care Program Coordinator Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 years’ experience as an activity professional.
- Therapeutic recreation specialist certification (national or State), or Occupational Therapy or Therapy Assistant license or 2 years’ recreation experience in the last 5.
Memory Care Program Coordinator Introduction: This professional works in conjunction with the Program Director and leads, guides, and directs a quality Activity Program designed to meet the social, psychosocial and therapeutic needs of residents living with dementia.
Memory Care Program Coordinator Job Summary:
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, supervise, evaluate and direct the activity/life enrichment program of the special care unit in the home in accordance with current state and federal laws and internal policies.
- Schedule activities, both individual and groups, implementing and/or delegating the implementation of recreational, educational, cultural and arts and crafts programs.
- Prepare and maintain a monthly calendar of activities.
- Ensure activities are tailored to the resident’s unique abilities and skills.
- Drive the company van to scheduled.
- Maintain documentation of the activity/life enrichment activities.
- Assist with the development of formal and informal staff educational in-service programs to ensure the highest level of quality care possible.
