Job description The intern will work closely with operations leaders and engineering staff to support special projects, develop work instructions, and configure efficient floor layouts that support operational goals. Essential Duties Assist with the design and optimization of warehouse layouts, material flow, and storage solutions. Support and lead special projects aimed at improving productivity, safety, or space utilization. Create or update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for various warehouse processes. Collect and analyze data to support logistics improvements and operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, quality, and IT to implement process enhancements. Help configure and maintain warehouse zones, workstations, and kitting areas. Support inventory and material handling studies, time-motion studies, and equipment evaluations. Participate in regular team meetings and present findings or recommendations as needed. Requirements Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with AutoCAD, Visio, or warehouse management systems is a plus. Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team-oriented environment. Interest in warehousing, process engineering, and logistics operations. Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks or projects independently.
