The newly formed Energy Transition Investment Banking team, within the Energy & Power industry coverage group in CIB Banking, is seeking an industry coverage and execution banker, at the Vice President level, to join and support the build out of its coverage effort. The VP position will report to the Head of Energy Transition. The Energy Transition team provides M&A, strategic, and capital raising advisory services to corporate clients. The Energy & Power team at Wells Fargo is a market-leading franchise in the industry including top ranked positions in the equity and debt capital markets league tables and over twenty closed M&A transactions representing more than $30 billion of deal volume in the past 24 months. In this role, you will: Execute capital markets and M&A transactions for our corporate clients Present complex ideas and analyses to internal and external parties Generate strategic content, including industry analysis and product-specific concepts Coordinate deliverables with coverage team and internal product partners Manage day-to-day project workflows Develop junior talent Required Quals 5 years of Investment Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Quals Experience in renewables, energy transition or climate technology sectors Equity capital raising experience including series fundraising, IPOs and follow-ons Company or asset sell side and buyside experience Acquisition financing experience Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment Ability to work in a fast paced deadline driven environment Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Job Expectations Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
