We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector. As a QC, you are a key member of the Quality Management team primarily responsible for technical inspections of incoming materials and managing our procedure for the control of nonconforming raw materials, processes, equipment, or products. The Quality Control Inspector is expected to be a leader of continuous quality improvement efforts within the organization. With an eye for detail, you will focus on identifying root causes and then using data-driven insights in implementing improvement solutions. You must be service-oriented and focused on satisfying the customers (both internal and external). Interpersonal skills will prove crucial in the completion of your daily duties. Must be a highly motivated self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision. The job sometimes requires extra hours or special hours to complete high-priority projects. The position requires above-average verbal and written communication skills, good eyesight, and perception. Job function requires a solid understanding of identified or required skills.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain detailed and accurate records, completing all required documentation of laboratory samples and testing results.
- Deliver a daily report to the supervisor and quality team with important quality events and a pass-down for the next shift. Work closely and communicate with other lab associates to complete daily activities efficiently. Prepare detailed reports and/or presentations as requested.
- Maintain a testing schedule of raw materials, in-process/semi-finished goods, finished goods for quality and composition.
- Help design, update, and lead training classes. Provide advanced training and support to all levels of personnel.
- Perform visual inspections against internal specifications using good judgment regarding workmanship issues while adhering to established processing timelines. Document and analyze nonconformances and recommend corrective actions within the philosophy of continuous improvement.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain all assigned laboratory equipment and instruments according to standard operating procedures to ensure quality results.
- Properly prepare specimens for short-term and long-term storage. Retrieve and re-file specimens for testing.
- Assume responsibility and take initiative to seek out and correct problem areas.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (i.e., MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Outlook).
- Ability to read, interpret, and comply with documents such as internal SOPs, operating and maintenance instructions, and company policies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively and work efficiently with people at all levels in the organization.
- Ability to lift a maximum of 50 pounds and stand/walk for prolonged periods.
- Must be flexible with time and adaptable to change, ability to work some overtime, nights, and weekends as business needs.

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
