General Summary
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology Services, the Assistant Director for Enterprise Applications and Data Analytics is responsible for the integrity, availability, security, and integration of the Academy’s enterprise and departmental software applications and databases and directing and mentoring the personnel that manage these resources.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Academy’s administrative offices to identify, implement, or develop, solutions to support the Academy’s business processes.
- Manage large-scale IT projects, including collaborating with implementation consultants, developing timelines, assigning and directing staff resources, developing communication plans, and measuring and reporting progress.
- Guide the development of integrations between systems and the creation of shared institutional databases to support the Academy’s needs for business analytics.
- Collaborate with senior administrators to develop and implement data collection, analysis, and reporting strategies.
- Manage the Academy’s data analysis and reporting environment, including evaluating and recommending appropriate tools and technologies, ensuring that the Academy’s data infrastructure and systems are optimized for data analytics, and providing training and mentorship to ITS team and staff in administrative departments.
- Work with departments to design, create, and present a collection of reports and dashboards for senior administrators and the Board of Trustees.
- Supervise the Enterprise Applications staff on a daily basis to effectively manage overall work performance, objectives, and professional development.
- In conjunction with the Director of ITS, develop and execute long-range plans for the Academy’s enterprise software, hardware, and databases.
- Manage the operating and capital equipment budgets for enterprise software, hardware, and services
- Maintain relationships with major vendors, oversee contract negotiations, and monitor contracts and renewals.
- Develop effective and comprehensive technology policies including business continuity, disaster recovery, and security procedures and plans, in conjunction with the Director of ITS and the ITS Management Team.
- In collaboration with the Director, coordinate the recruitment, orientation and training of new ITS employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field required
- 5-7 years of IT management experience required, experience at an educational institution preferred
- Extensive project management experience
- Solid knowledge of enterprise systems and experience with database management systems
- Expertise with databases, database methodologies, and enterprise data analysis tools.
- A proven track record as a successful manager of technical professionals
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage, and sensitivity to, highly confidential information
- Strong initiative and the ability to be self-directed, resourceful and creative
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Facility with and interest in the promotion of cooperation and teamwork with colleagues
- Strong customer service orientation

**SIGN-ON BONUS**
The successful candidate will receive a $1,000 sign-on bonus ($500 paid at time of hire and $500 paid at the end of 90 days of employment.
