What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Specialist position at DAA Northwest?
We have an immediate opening for an Accounting Specialist. In this position you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of accounts payable which includes:
- Responsible for activities in managing the company’s AR; including, but not limited to, applying payments to AR accounts, ensuring charges are posted accurately to customer accounts, preparation of AR statements, review of AR Aging report, and communication with customers with past due balances.
- Responsible for processing car returns accurately, including communication with appropriate individuals as needed.
- Responsible for updating and maintaining accurate vehicle inventory lists for wholesale flooring accounts.
- Responsible for processing of daily bank deposits.
- Responsible for account reconciliations and support of month-end processes.
- Responsible for assisting in banking and cash management activities including daily reconciliations, IRS Form 8300 filing, setting up electronic payments in the bank, uploading positive pay files, and processing credit card payments.
- Provides support and backup to fellow team members as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to team success.ties.
Our ideal candidate will have at least three years of accounting or office experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred but not required. A valid driver’s license and a three-year driving abstract will be required for this position. A 4 - 10 schedule is available for this role after our new hire has completed their training period.
