SUMMARY: The After-Hours Emergency Specialist is an extension of DABCO’s maintenance and grounds staff after hours.
After Hours Emergency Specialist will work individually or as a team to monitor activity on the properties after hours and to respond to tenant requests for lock outs, emergency maintenance and noise complaints. We view our After-Hours Emergency Specialist as an asset to our company, recognizing that exceptional customer service is a crucial aspect of the role. This entails treating all tenants and their guests equitably and with utmost respect. Use every tenant interaction as an opportunity to kindly provide education about and firmly enforce posted policies. They must have their own vehicle to drive for work. A stipend will be provided for vehicle use. The hours for this on-call position are structured as follows:
4 days a week
Friday 10am to 5pm
Saturday and Sunday On call
Monday 1pm to 5pm and 5pm to 8am On call
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Monitor noise levels on the premises and promptly address any noise complaints.
2. Provide access for tenants who have locked themselves out.
3. Monitor and manage parking.
4. Perform minor maintenance tasks such as unclogging toilets, replacing smoke detector batteries, shutting off water supplies, resetting breakers, and checking GFI outlets.
5. Conduct light audits for all properties.
6. Conduct security checks of all shops and offices to ensure the safety and integrity of the premises.
7. Receive and document all incoming calls in the On Call Nightly Report, noting the time of each call.
8. Contact managers or supervisors in case of emergency.
9. During the day shift walking properties picking up trash and dog waste.
10. During the day shift helping with residents moves due to the washer dryer project.
11. Other duties as assigned
