Position Summary :
Daedalus Industrial is seeking an organized and detail-oriented HR & Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processing and provide hands-on support for various HR functions. This role will ensure accurate and compliant payroll for a multi-state workforce, oversee per diem allowances, manage employee records, and assist with benefits, onboarding, and talent acquisition. The ideal candidate is proactive, deadline-driven, and experienced in handling payroll and HR responsibilities for 100 employees.
Key Responsibilities :
Payroll & Timekeeping :
Review and approve employee timecards on a weekly basis.
Process payroll for approximately 110 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Oversee multi-state payroll processing, ensuring adherence to applicable state and federal laws.
Manage per diem allocations for traveling employees, ensuring compliance with company policy and government regulations.
Handle payroll-related tax filings, payroll entries, and ensure compliance with leave policies.
HR Administration & Employee Records :
Assist in processing employee changes, including pay adjustments, terminations, department and position changes, and benefit modifications.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including documentation of disciplinary actions.
Onboarding & Benefits Administration :
Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring smooth integration into the company.
Assist employees with benefits enrollment and provide support for open enrollment periods.
Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements related to HR and payroll.
Talent Acquisition & Employee Support :
Assist with recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
Provide administrative support to the HR department, ensuring efficient operations.
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and HR policies.
Qualifications :
Associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
2 years of experience in payroll processing and human resources support.
Experience working with 100 employees in a multi-state payroll environment preferred.
Knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., iSolved, ADP, Paychex, or similar) and HRIS platforms.
Strong understanding of wage and hour laws, payroll tax compliance, and leave policies.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
Occasionally lift and move office materials up to 20 pounds.
