Purpose of Role
Daemen University Library seeks a part-time evening weekend circulation technical assistant. Duties include supervision of circulation, student workers and general library oversight.
About This Opportunity
Joining our Library/Research and Information Commons team, the Part-Time Evening/Weekend Reference and Circulation Technical Assistant will be responsible for the following:
Duties include supervision of circulation, student workers and general library oversight.
General functions:
- Oversees and manages all Circulation Desk functions during day/evening hours until the RIC/Library.
- Conducts or supervises all clerical functions dealing with stack maintenance.
- Assists in performing inter-library loan clerical duties.
- Supervises and trains a large number of student employees during evening hours and weekends.
- Works closely with the Reference Librarian in charge to assist all Library users.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. MLS or library experience and previous supervisory experience preferred.
