What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Manager- Automotive position at DAG Technology?
1. Develop, implement, lead, and maintain all quality systems (IATF Certification)
2. Lead in preparation, review and approval of various quality deliverables including Quality Manual Process Flow diagrams, Control Plans, PFMEA’s and related documents
3. Meet with Customers to ensure requirements are being met
2. Ensure compliance of all quality-controlled documentation, document changes, and record retention requirements.
3. Provide direction, leadership, and training guidance and day-to-day supervision to various quality personnel
4. Lead and promote effective problem solving/corrective actions for the entire operation.
5. Manage and train quality staff to ensure proper execution of quality processes, procedures in support of the quality objectives
6. Oversee the Internal Audit programs and coordinate external audits ensuring non-conformances and opportunities for improvement are properly documented and closed per required timing.
7. Maintain and regularly report on daily, weekly, monthly (as appropriate) on various quality metrics
9. Lead Continuous Improvement efforts.
10. Track and report on quality related cost of poor quality (COPQ)
11. Coordinate investigations and respond to customer complaints including all root cause analysis for corrective action.
12. Monitor all customer quality related web sites for compliance and awareness of current/planned requirements.
14. Direct all Advanced Product Quality Process (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities.
15. A periodic review of quality including a Quality Planning review is to be held, minimally at each QQPR meeting (or more frequently if necessary) to determine if quality system additions/changes/deletions to the quality inspection and verification process are needed.
16. Bring quality concerns to the Operations Manager who will involve other management members as appropriate.
17. Maintain awareness of the safety and security of the property
· Recognize an emergency situation and take appropriate action.
· Aware of all emergency policies and procedures.
· Knowledge of and compliance with OSHA/MIOSHA safety standards as well as emergency policies.
· Use proper protective equipment when necessary.
· Knowledge of the OSHA/MIOSHA and safety standards.
· Identify, correct, or report safety hazards and report any damages that could be detrimental to the facility and its surroundings.
· May perform periodic safety inspections throughout the facility to ensure a safe and clean environment
18. Maintain a high standard of professionalism and ethical conduct working cooperatively with coworkers
· Cooperates with other departments to facilitate communications of immediate needs.
· Inform Supervisor of issues or concerns.
