THE GROWTH YOU HELP PROVIDE
This part-time Planning and Zoning - Permit Specialist position offers up to 19 hours per week, with a flexible schedule that includes some hours during standard business operations as well as evening meetings.
In this part-time property zoning role, you can expect to receive and process various conditional use permits, property variances, and easements. Your day will involve attending meetings, where you will take and transcribe minutes, compile resolutions, and manage other important correspondence. You will also receive and review applications for different types of building permits, determining their completeness. As part of your duties, you will address questions regarding permit requirements, calculate fees, accept and issue receipts, and coordinate permits. Additionally, you'll schedule inspections and follow up on various activities throughout the construction process, ensuring everything is running smoothly.
OUR IDEAL PLANNING AND ZONING - PERMIT SPECIALIST
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year(s) of specialized training related to duties
- 2 years of experience in secretarial duties, drafting, word processing, or some other related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
