Job Description Summary

We are seeking a Help Desk Technician to join our team in the USA. This position will be based onsite at our Fort Lauderdale office. The Help Desk Technician provides excellent customer service by supporting a wide range of technical and network solutions. Serving as the initial point of contact, you will gather and analyze information about the user's issue to answer basic questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization, and usage of assigned products to determine the best way to resolve their problem. Solutions include, but are not limited to, uninstalling/reinstalling software applications, resolving username and password problems, verifying proper hardware and software set up, resolving network connectivity issues, troubleshooting mobile devices, troubleshooting peripherals, troubleshooting email issues, and setting up A/V equipment.

Scope of Activities

  • Answer inbound technical support cases in person, via phone, via email, or using remote access tools.
  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows based desktop and notebook computers.
  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting peripherals.
  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting mobile devices.
  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting basic applications.
  • Using ticket software to record, track and document the service desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
  • Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and FAQ resources on the Internet/Intranet to aid in problem resolution.
  • Perform hands-on duties including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications.
  • Test fixes to ensure problem has been adequately resolved.
  • Perform post-resolution follow ups with end user and team members as required.
  • Deploy and maintain help desk deployment systems.
  • Develop help sheets and FAQ lists for end users.

Profile And Other Information Related To The Position

  • Two years or more experience working on hardware, including desktops, laptops, smartphones, and networking equipment.
  • Two years or more experience troubleshooting Microsoft Operating Systems
  • Two years or more experience troubleshooting Microsoft Office and other Business applications.
  • Associates degree in computer science or other relevant fields is a plus
  • Candidates holding A , N , or similar certifications will be preferred.
  • Candidates with familiarity with File and Folder Security will be preferred.
  • Candidates with experience in Active Directory, DNS
  • Working knowledge of a range of software and hardware diagnostic tools a plus.
  • Experience working with service desk best practices a plus.
