Join the Dahl Automotive team at Dahl Ford Truck in La Crosse, WI as a Parts Manager, and become a part of our growing business! In this position, you will work alongside our Parts team to help lead the team to success, and assist our technicians and guests in getting the correct parts for their heavy-duty vehicles repairs and needs! This is a full-time position that will normally require working Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing inventory based on demand and cost targets. Must have knowledge of stock – control systems so that they can effectively record and analyze the movement of parts. Must also maintain accurate records of parts replaced under warranty and details of faulty parts.
- Work closely with Service Manager to ensure parts are to the technicians timely
- Hire, train, and monitor parts department staff
- Forecast goals and objectives for the parts department
- Maintain inventory consistent with the requirements of the various departments
- Create pricing guidelines for customer categories
- Monitor and adjust inventory
- Guarantee all parts are properly tagged
- Supervise stock order procedures
- Enforce guidelines for working with guests to ensure maximum guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with auto parts/heavy-duty truck parts, required
- Have the ability to lift occasionally 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented, have a professional appearance and strong work ethic
- Automotive & Technical knowledge is required
- Excellent customer service experience
- Strong communication skills
- Organized and friendly personality
- Demonstrated ability to manage others
- Time management skills
- Professional, well-groomed personal appearance
