Contract Duration: 8-months
Worksite Location: Minnetonka, MN or Madison, WI | Hybrid
Hours: Part-Time (20 hours/week to start, potential to increase)
Compensation: $60 -$70 per hour depending on experience
The Human Resources team is seeking a highly motivated HR Benefits Project Manager to support the Benefits team in executing initiatives aligned with our 2025 HR objectives. This contract position will begin at 20 hours per week, with potential to increase as the project progresses.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is energized by the opportunity to contribute to the success of the 2025 HR Initiatives and help drive our evolving Total Rewards Philosophy forward.
Key projects include a claims platform migration, medical benefit redesign, leading RFP/RFI processes, implementing new vendors, and other critical benefit-related priorities.
We are looking for candidates who are agile, proactive communicators, and comfortable rolling up their sleeves to support the project, including contributing to foundational subject matter tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full project lifecycle from planning through execution and closeout to ensure timely delivery of key results.
- Provide project management support, status reporting, and relevant communications to project teams, leadership, and stakeholders.
- Track and monitor project milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Lead the RFP process including vendor selection, partnering with legal on contract negotiation, and coordinating transition planning.
- Collaborate with communication and change management teams to develop strategies and materials that drive employee awareness and adoption.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration through organized meetings, clear timelines, and aligned deliverables.
- Support the team by contributing to subject matter expert tasks (e.g., drafting presentations or communication materials).
Required Experience:
- 5 years of project management experience, preferably within Human Resources or Benefits.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience managing stakeholders at all levels.
Highly Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of healthcare benefits and total rewards.
- Experience with benefits platforms and technology.
- Background in leading RFP/RFI processes and managing vendor integrations.
