Worksite Location : San Louis Obispo, CA
Contract Duration : 6 months
What you’ll do as the Payroll Clerk :
Ensure that employees’ time entries and time off requests are accurate, submitted on time, and comply with company policies, as well as federal and state regulations
Conduct detailed auditing of time entries and time requests in Workday, communicating and correcting any discrepancies
Investigate and resolve any timekeeping issues or disputes promptly and effectively
Work closely with the Payroll Processing team during payroll close processes to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing
Respond to employee requests and questions regarding timekeeping in a timely and professional manner
Generate and provide timekeeping reports to management and other departments as needed
Accurately process and complete assigned timekeeping tasks within deadlines
What you’ll bring to the Payroll Clerk role :
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service-oriented approach
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of professionalism
Detail-oriented with exceptional time management and organizational skills
Ability to build and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with multiple departments
Proficient in keyboarding and computer skills; digitally literate
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, etc.)
