Job Description
As a Claims Administrator, your key responsibilities will include providing service, expertise, and guidance to insureds and claimants. You will work on a proactive and troubleshooting basis to ensure prompt, fair handling of claims. Your tasks will involve monitoring claims to reduce their impact on the client's insurance and financial results. You will also work with insurance carriers to obtain the best claim resolution and support loss control efforts. Other duties include coordinating and participating in claim review meetings, setting priorities, and managing workflow. You will also proactively respond to daily client correspondence and enter activity and other relevant information into the company's software system.
Required Skills and Qualifications
A successful candidate should have a combination of education and experience, preferably a high school degree or bachelor's degree. A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in claims processing, personal lines preferred, is also required. Active property & casualty insurance license, excellent communication skills, and strong organizational skills are also essential. Self-motivation and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are also required.
