This is a full-time (40 hours per week).
This is a hybrid position with the office located in Spring, Texas (Houston, TX metro area).

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate education in Journalism, English, or a similar field
- Experience in and knowledge of various stages of editing, including substantive and/or developmental editing, line editing, copy editing, and proofreading
- Expertise in editing carefully and intentionally, with an eye for detail
- Experience working cross-departmentally
- Baseline understanding of Scripture and theology, with a deep desire for continued growth in this area
- Desire to continue growing in the crafts of writing, editing, and leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication that is timely, kind, and intentional
- Ability to make editorial decisions collaboratively with other editors as well as independently
- Strong problem-solving skills related to resource planning, organization, and copy/content
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience with the Chicago Manual of Style preferred
Job Responsibilities:
- Edits content for Bible studies, books, magazine and blog articles, social media, newsletters, and more
- Ensures all content is edited for clarity, accuracy, theological depth, and brand voice
- Teaches occasional writer/editor workshops
- Works closely with writers through the writing and editing process on projects as assigned
- Manages a full workload with multiple projects and due dates
- Other duties as assigned
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting salary for this position is $54,000-$60,000 based on education and experience
