The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for managing a wide range of HR functions including recruitment, employee onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, employee relations, training and development, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and maintaining employee records, acting as a primary point of contact for employees on HR related matters across the assigned resorts.
Follow all company policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
Specific Responsibilities :
- Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
- Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Posts job openings, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations.
- Assist with the recruitment process, post all positions, conduct reference checks, pre-employment screening and issuing offer letters.
- Administer new employee on-boarding and orientation including all required paperwork.
- Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs.
- Answering employee questions regarding benefits and eligibility.
- Respond to human resources-related inquiries.
- Assist with payroll processing. Ensure payroll is completed in a timely manner.
- Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.
- Develop and maintain talent management processes.
- Monitor employee morale and company culture.
- Collaborate with the human resources team to develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Identify future staffing needs.
- Investigate employee complaints and concerns. Mediate disputes between employees and address issues related to workplace harassment and discrimination.
- Process complaints regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions.
- Respond to employees' inquiries regarding HR matters in a timely manner.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Administrate Leave of absences, Worker's Comp, ADA, FMLA usage and other issues as required by Daily Management, Inc. regulations and legal requirements
- Identify, develop and provide training needs for the staff.
- Maintain employee personnel records and documentation.
- Communicate HR policies and procedures to employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws.
- Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.
- Conduct I-9 audits and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Communicate with your manager and keep him / her up to date with all day-to-day matters and employee issues.
- Produce and submit reports to your manager on general HR activity.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Other duties as assigned and deemed necessary by management.
Position Requirements (Skills / Abilities) :
Experience : Three to five years of Human Resources Management preferred.
Education : Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or equivalent related experience. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR desired.

Managerial Responsibilities :
This position carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Physical Demands :
While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to walk and is required to use his / her hands and fingers to feel, and reach for objects of various sizes, shapes and weight. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

This position is highly visible in all resort areas, team members must present a clean professional appearance and must adhered to Daily Management, Inc., Local Standard Operating Procedures-Standards of Appearance.
