Job Summary
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide care to patients. Your role will involve assisting in the implementation of treatment plans and helping patients regain movement and manage pain.
Duties
- Collaborate with physical therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
- Educate patients and their families on at-home exercises and self-care techniques
- Utilize modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and traction as directed by the physical therapist
- Prepare treatment areas and maintain equipment
Experience
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Experience in patient care within various settings such as clinics, skilled nursing facilities, acute care, and home health
- Familiarity with trigger point therapy is beneficial
- Ability to work effectively in both inpatient and outpatient environments
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.50 - $27.56 per hour
