Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor and Delivery team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor and delivery, as well as postpartum and mother/baby care. You’ll play a critical role in providing high-quality, compassionate care to mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth process.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum period
- Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs and recognize signs of complications
- Support mothers and families through the birthing process
- Administer medications and assist in labor-inducing procedures
- Perform routine postpartum assessments and provide mother/baby education
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Active RN license in [Insert State]
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience – Required
- Experience in Postpartum and Mother/Baby care – Required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR – Required
- Current ACLS certification – Required
- AWHONN Certification (within the past 3 years) – Preferred
