Inside the Role

The Transformation Guidance Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and coaching transformative initiatives at Daimler Truck Financial Services North America (DTFS NA). This role is focused on aligning strategies, fostering collaboration, and guiding cross-functional teams to drive substantial operational and organizational transformations. As a key player in business transformation, the Transformation Guidance Manager ensures that processes, systems, and strategies are aligned with DTFS NA's long-term objectives for scalability, innovation, and profitability. This involves mentoring teams through the design and implementation of transformation initiatives, developing business cases with measurable ROI, and facilitating effective stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth project execution.

Collaborating closely with DTFS leadership and teams, the Transformation Guidance Manager will identify opportunities for operational enhancements, oversee the implementation and governance of transformation projects, and lead efforts to drive cultural change in support of the RISE program. You will champion the cause of change, rally the troops and instill transformative thinking and innovative mindsets across DTFS NA. This role combines leadership, strategic thinking, and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges and unlocking opportunities for growth.

What You Drive at DTFS

  • Act as a coach to mentor functional teams through transformation design and execution. Identify and bring together cross-functional teams with the necessary expertise to drive transformation initiatives. Guide these teams in establishing clear objectives, defining roles and responsibilities, and staying focused on achieving transformation goals. Develop a comprehensive view of the initiatives, including objectives, goals, KPIs, and OPIs. hrough coaching and leadership development, ensure the empowerment to achieve organizational goals supporting transformation initiatives, fostering a culture of transformative thinking, and driving the adoption of new technologies and processes. Align processes, systems and strategies with DTFS North America's long term objectives for scalability, innovation and profitability. Align with the DTFS ExCom and DTFS Global ExCom- 30%
  • Develop detailed and strategic business cases aligned with organizational objectives, incorporating cost-benefit analyses and ROI forecasts. Lead the orchestration of large-scale projects, ensuring proactive solutions are designed and implemented effectively and on schedule - 20%
  • Build and maintain a highly functioning team that is able to deliver on organizational priorities. Lead, coach, and develop employees to top potential - 20%
  • Leverage knowledge of business areas to integrate diverse teams and solve complex issues collaboratively. Determine opportunities for operational enhancements. Prioritize improvements and ensure findings are implemented in all departments where viable - 10%
  • Serve as a liaison between various functions, ensuring seamless information flow and alignment with transformation goals. Ensure strong communication, follow-up, and follow-through to keep deliverables on track. Also, collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure effective communication and alignment with organizational objectives, maintaining consistency throughout the transformation process. Ensure effective communication and alignment of activities and knowledge transfer of implemented improvements to others - 10%
  • Ensure the governance of the RISE Transformation is seamless and all information required for transparency, potential escalations, as well as necessary foresight, is managed. Also equally ensure the Change Management Team is provided with the information needed to enable the right level of people engagement for awareness creation, training, risk and resistance management, etc. - 10%

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Human Resource Management, Finance or related
  • 8 years of experience in general business, finance, strategy, or management
  • 8 years of experience managing complex, highly integrated projects with interdisciplinary and intercultural teams
  • 5 years of experience with Daimler Truck Financial Services
  • In-depth understanding of Financial Services products and processes and a working knowledge of DTFS systems landscape
  • Expertise in fostering collaboration and driving teams toward shared objectives
  • Strong analytical skills with a continuous process improvement mindset. Adept at using data to drive insights and root cause analysis
  • Professional demeanor, high energy, and a strong sense of urgency to drive results. Strong communication, teamwork and networking skills
  • Innovative thinker with the ability to challenge the status quo and develop creative solutions
  • Self-motivated and comfortable in a global, matrixed, fast-paced environment with high complexity and ambiguity, experienced with agile methodologies
  • Proficiency in developing comprehensive business cases, including cost-benefit analysis and ROI assessments
  • Experience in driving cultural change and aligning teams with transformational goals
  • Strong ability to mentor, guide and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance or related
  • 4 years experience in information technology
  • An existing Level 4 candidate is preferred but not required
