**Job Overview**
Dairy Farmers of America is seeking an experienced Boiler Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the heating, cooling, compression, and water systems within the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily boiler operation and maintain related equipment
- Monitor refrigeration, air compressors, and pH levels in the sewer system
- Document and read meters; gas, sewer, electric, and water to ensure accurate reporting to agencies
- Complete weekly and monthly inspections of the facility and equipment
- Notify the maintenance department if repairs are needed and assist with repair work as required
- Maintain safe working conditions and compliance with state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years of experience in maintenance, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC, and HVAC or related fields
- Experience on a variety of equipment including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control, and packaging equipment
- Boiler Certification and/or License required during employment
