What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative position at Dairy State Bank?
Position Summary:
This position provides prompt professional service to bank customers by meeting various banking needs over the phone and in person. Recognizes opportunities, informs, and advises customers in selecting appropriate accounts and services. Follows bank procedures and policies. The Customer Service Representative is instrumental in building and maintaining excellent customer relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assist customers with accounts – opening personal and business accounts including checking, savings, money market, IRAs, HSAs, CDs, and CDARs.
2. Assist customers with banking services - including personal and business safe deposit boxes, online and mobile banking, mobile and remote deposit, bill pay, overdraft protection, phone banking, and managing account, debit card and travel alerts.
3. Assist customers with debit/ATM cards including ordering and cancelling cards, lost and stolen cards, processing customer transaction disputes, travel exemptions, limit increases, CAMS alerts, and related reports and customer questions.
4. Review various daily/monthly department reports.
5. Assist customers with contact information changes, stop payments, wire transfers and ACH transaction disputes (WSUD) forms.
6. Complete account verification requests.
7. Responsible for overdraft account closing, maintenance and Onboard reporting.
8. Answer inquiries and inform customers of product features/benefits while effectively explaining terms/conditions via phone, email and in person.
9. Prepare CD renewal notices.
10. Maintenance of existing customer accounts for changes such as names, products, POAs, PODs, etc.
11. Scanning and indexing various documents to Director/Navigator. Filing all new account files and any other filing presented from the branches.
12. Assist with year-end processes, such as IRA and HSA contribution/distribution review
13. Assist with CDARS processing, placement, balancing, and daily reports.
14. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Requirements include high school diploma or equivalent. Advanced computer skills, typing, 10-key, phone and math skills are essential. Previous banking experience preferred. Excellent customer service and the ability to prioritize multiple functions while still being accurate. Uphold confidentiality on and off the job. Punctuality and professional appearance/demeanor are expected of all Dairy State Bank employees.

Pay: $18.50 - $23.00 per hour
