Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is responsible for leading, directing and managing the bank’s human resources function. Works closely with the CEO to foster and promote the desired bank culture. Develops, implements and coordinates policies and procedures with regard to organizational development, recruiting/employment, compensation, benefits, training, safety and health, and employee relations. Serves as change agent, coach and advocate within the organization. Maintains current knowledge base of all human resources practices and ensures compliance with all employment related laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Direct the interpretation and application of established human resources policies throughout the organization to ensure lawful, fair and consistent treatment of all employees.
- Maintain current knowledge of governmental regulations and reporting requirements affecting company policies and human resource practices to include EEO/Affirmative Action, hiring standards and document retention, job descriptions and Employee Guide/Handbook, benefits administration, ACA, FMLA, compensation/FLSA and Department of Labor Orders, ADA.
- Generate and submit appropriate/required documentation/reports in a timely manner.
- Regularly review all human resources policies, programs, and practices to keep the organization up to date on current practices and changing regulatory requirements.
- Revise policies, educate and implement changes to comply with any updates/revisions.
- Oversee and participate in all recruiting/selection/hiring of new employees and all internal promotions following established guidelines and practices.
- Work with CEO to assure the compensation structure is competitive and equitable. Monitor, review and/or recommend wage adjustments, new hire offers and terminations. Ensure adequate documentation is maintained.
- Work proactively with Payroll to ensure employees are paid timely and correctly. Periodically audit payroll documents/files with regard to benefits and other deductions. Cross train in regular payroll functions to provide back-up and support in unplanned or unforeseen situations.
- Lead investigations in such matters as formal grievances, discrimination or harassment complaints and inquiries from outside agencies/sources.
- Oversee performance management program. Coordinate and coach supervisors through annual performance evaluation process.
- Act as benefits administrator for all benefit plans/contracts including self-funded health and dental plans. Monitor expenses and proactively advise CEO of any pending risk or large claims that may impact overall program.
- Coordinate training requests and records with the support of Internal Audit and Compliance Officer.
- Oversee employee relations to ensure a productive, respectful and safe work environment. Direct and coordinate activities to promote positive interaction.
Requirements
Requirements include bachelor’s degree in related field and minimum of 5 years human resources management experience. Associate degree with extensive HR experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor degree. Previous employment with a financial institution preferred. Current HRCI or SHRM certification. Strong verbal and written communication skills, accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent presentation and customer service skills, and the ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously are necessary. Coaching/counseling abilities and an understanding of confidentiality requirements paramount. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. All Dairy State employees are expected to present a pleasant and professional demeanor.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
