Adjunct College Composition (ENGL 110) Lecturer – Virtual
Part-time – Non-benefited position
Fall 2025 Semester: August 27 – December 12
No Classes: September 1, November 11, November 26-28
Final Exams Week – December 15-19
Job Description: Dakota College at Bottineau is seeking an instructor to teach ENGL 110 – College Composition I (3 credits) through video conferencing technology for the fall 2025 semester. The instructor will teach from their personal computer and the class is sent to classrooms at each high school. This class is taught on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:23 AM 10:08 AM.
This course is offered to high school students enrolled in the dual credit program at the institution. The person selected for this position will be responsible for the planning, implementation, teaching, and evaluation of student learning experiences, including assessment.
Required Qualifications: Masters’s degree in English or related field or master’s degree in another field with 18 graduate credits in English or a related field, excellent written and oral communication skills, strong technology skills, experience teaching in Blackboard, experience with video conferencing technology and online teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching at a community college or high school.
Additional Requirements: DCB does require a successful background check for the selected candidate prior to beginning employment. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Dakota College at Bottineau does not provide sponsorship. We are unable to hire remote workers residing in the following states: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, and Washington D.C.
Salary: $2,400 with course capped at 25 students. Additional compensation is provided if the class exceeds the course cap, with instructor permission.
Closing Date: April 18, 2025.
