Online Adjunct Physics Lecturer
Part-time – Non-benefited position
Job Description: Dakota College at Bottineau is seeking an instructor to develop and teach PHYS 211 (College Physics I – 4 credits) online for the 2025-2026 academic year. This course is offered to freshman and sophomore undergraduate students. The person selected for this position will be responsible for the planning, implementation, teaching, and evaluation of student learning experiences, including assessment. Blackboard is the Learning Management System utilized by the institution.
Required Qualifications: Master’s degree with 18 graduate credits in physics or closely related discipline, excellent written and oral communication skills, strong technology skills, experience teaching in Blackboard, and online teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching at a community college.
Additional Requirements: DCB does require a successful background check for the selected candidate prior to beginning employment. Applicants must be eligible to work in the US. Dakota College at Bottineau does not provide sponsorship. We are unable to hire remote workers residing in the following states: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, and Washington D.C.
Salary: $3,200 with the course capped at 20 students. Additional compensation is provided if the class exceeds the course cap, with instructor permission.
Closing Date: April 18, 2025.
