What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hygiene Coordinator/Manager position at Dakota Dental Associates?
Dakota Dental Associates is seeking a full time Hygiene Coordinator/Manager to join our busy multi-doctor, multi-hygienist practice. We are looking for a friendly and caring person who can multitask between phone calls and our Eaglesoft software while at the same time interact with patients and employees in the office. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and customer services skills.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain appointment flow of an 8-hygienist schedule by utilizing the recall system to optimize an efficient schedule
- Consult and answer phone calls in response to patient inquiries by providing accurate information about treatment, insurance, billing, and office policies
- Process patient treatment plans, insurance claims, and payments
- Participate in management meetings
- Play a pivotal role as a liaison between departments and the management team
- Manage hygiene department PTO requests, meetings, yearly reviews as well as track performance
- HIPAA co-chair
Qualifications:
- Detail-oriented, organized, and efficient in managing several tasks at once
- Strong leader with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking the initiative to work independently
- Strong listening and communication skills both in person and on the phone
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel as well as tech savvy
- Punctual, flexible, reliable and professional in appearance
Hours between 38-40 hours per week
