Front Desk Coordinator

About Us:
Dakota Foot & Ankle Clinic is a small (one physician) clinic. Dr. Gale is a foot & ankle specialist (Podiatrist). He has been practicing in Bismarck, ND since 1992 and has a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine license.
Our practice is open from 8:30-5:00 Monday-Friday. We travel to Beulah, Linton and Wishek, as well as some local nursing homes on rotating schedules to care for patients. Dr. Gale performs surgery at one of the local hospitals. He also performs many procedures in the clinic under local anesthesia such as minor hammertoe correction, Diabetic wound care, ingrown nail removal,and others.
The clinic is closed for major holidays and on weekends. When we travel to satellite clinics, two days each month, we leave earlier than 8:30 and occasionally we get back at 5:00.

Job Duties:
- Scheduling appointments
- Tracking/collecting patient payments and petty cash
- Assisting patients with questions or concerns and directing them to the proper extensions
- Daily appointment reminders & appointment confirmation calls
- Tracking incoming faxes and ensuring they are delegated to the proper chart/department
- Complete patient contact notes as needed
- Entering medical data into patients' chart
- Assist with New Patient and Existing Patient paperwork and updating patient charts as needed
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist accordingly
- Check patients in, and escort them to a room upon arrival for their appointment
- Creating Encounter Forms for Patient Appointments
- Receive training to assist at the Clinic's shoe store, Happy Soles, as needed
- Completing paperwork for dispensing shoes and orthotics
- Travel to satellite locations with the doctor and his team to complete administration duties
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency in standard office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Knowledge of medical office management practices is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels.
