Dakota State University is seeking applications a full-time Facilities Services Supervisor I. This position will work an 8 hour shift Monday through Friday with some weekends as needed to help with preparation / clean-up for events on campus. The shift will begin at 700am.
Responsibilities Include :
Supervise a team of facility workers.
Select personnel.
Schedule and assign work of subordinates.
Conduct performance appraisals.
Order and maintain inventory.
Maintain high quality and safety standards.
Perform minor maintenance projects.
Maintain the outside parameters of the buildings.
General cleaning and sanitizing tasks.
Monitor the buildings for property safety.
Supervise preparation for special events in buildings and clean up for those events.
Paint, move furniture and check equipment as necessary.
The successful applicant must be able to or have knowledge of :
Follow written and oral instructions
Work with students, staff, and the public courteously.
Work independently.
Lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Maintain a valid driver’s license.
Knowledge of building cleaning and sanitation techniques.
Knowledge of proper use of equipment and supplies.
Knowledge of use of various hand and power tools.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
