DSG is seeking a Director of Supply Chain Process Excellence to lead and drive consistency and continuous improvement within our branches and regions to support continued growth throughout DSG, specifically within warehouse operations. As a Director of Supply Chain Process Excellence, you will focus on defining process standards, metrics of success and continuous improvement for all process intervals in the warehouse value stream . This includes receiving, put away, inventory maintenance, pick, outbound and fulfillment. Scope will include activities that provide value in relation to quality, cost, delivery, and safety. Critical to the success of this role will be a focus on understanding process design and the define, measure, analyze, improve and control (DMAIC) approach. Within the metrics for success – this role will lead design and integration of an Operations Management System in close partnership with the field.

A Typical Day in the Life of a Director of Supply Chain Process Excellence at DSG :
Serve as the primary owner of warehouse process design. This includes ownership of the process designs, documentation, training, metrics, root cause analysis, and performance audits.Lead continuous improvement of warehouse processes. This includes identifying opportunities, deploying / piloting new initiatives, establishing tolerates for go / no go, and expansion to additional branchesEstablish and lead monthly business routines to monitor, track, trend branch level performance that aligns with identified supply chain process excellence KPIs. This includes identifying performance opportunities and driving associated root cause analysis with counter measuresOwn equipment counts to support process intervals. Identify the mechanical needs necessary to support throughput and headcount within the process.Support headcount requirements to delivery necessary throughput within each process interval.Own design, deployment, and support of the Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Safety operations management system.Drive meetings and manage timelines to hold other stakeholders accountable for moving necessary projects along.Work closely with Learning and Development team to ensure proper implementation of warehouse process training.All other duties as assignedA Successful Director of Supply Chain Process Excellence Typically Has :
Strong understanding of DSG’s Multi-Segment StrategyExtensive knowledge and business acumen of wholesale distributionBachelor’s degree in Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline with a minimum of 10 years of related experience in the industry, including a minimum of 3-5 years in a management capacity, or the equivalent combination of education and experienceExcellent people skills, with an ability to collaborate with internal leaders and external partnersAdaptable and able to multi-task; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving work environment while also driving toward clarity and solutionsIntegrity, Credibility, Sensible risk-taker, Proactive leadership, Accountable, Adaptable, Forward thinker, Strategic mindsetAt DSG, We Offer Benefits Built for You :
