Qualifications

- Thorough understanding of safety and health laws, regulations, and policies
- Thorough understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost management, and other effective manufacturing and distribution techniques
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment that includes both standing/walking on the production floor and sitting at a desk for administrative tasks. Ability to lift to 25lbs as needed.
- Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery
Responsibilities
- Oversee manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules are met and quality standards are upheld
- Responsible for the recruitment, training, and performance management of front-line staff in all production departments.
- Oversee the daily workflow and schedules of each department
- Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
- Collaborate with other managers and departments to coordinate workflow and ensure production, quality, and safety goals are met.
- Assign personnel to projects based on workload and capabilities
- Regularly inspect and evaluate products and processes for quality control, ensuring adherence to standards and identifying areas for improvement.
- Work with the safety department to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices including those related to safety and health to
