Our client a leading alternative investment manger here in Boston has an immediate need for an Associate on their Portfolio Analytics team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the creation of essential firmwide performance reporting
- Partner with Business Development, Investor Relations, Legal, Valuation, Operations, Information Technology ,Finance and Data Management teams to ensure the breadth, depth and accuracy of data and reporting
- Support Business Development through the preparation of analytical statistics required for fundraising efforts, investor requests, and presentations
- Maintain the integrity of internal processes and databases used to track key performance and investment metrics
- Constantly evaluate systems, process and procedures for inefficiencies and make recommendations for improvement
- Support various projects, including automation / standardization efforts and the evolution of standard deliverables
- 2-4 years of experience within financial services, ideally with a mix of credit focus
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or CPA/CFA
- Experience working with debt instruments a plus (including but not limited to bank debt, bonds, equity, and derivative instruments), preferably in a hedge fund, private equity, or audit environment
- Experience with data analytics and business intelligence applications(Anaplan, Alteryx, PowerBI and Tableau preferred)
- Motivated, self-starter with strong analytical skills, and an ability to grasp new concepts quickly
- Team player with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels within the Firm
- Attention to detail and obsession for finding correct answers
- Ability and confidence to have intellectual debates and quickly gather requirements and answers
- Strong communication skills both written and oral
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required
