The Controller will oversee all accounting and financial activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This key leadership role involves supporting strategic decision-making, and driving continuous improvement in financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare, analyze, and present accurate and timely financial statements and reports to senior management.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning processes.
- Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Lead internal and external audits and ensure all financial records are audit-ready.
- Establish and enforce robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and ensure effective treasury operations.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to provide insights and recommendations for financial strategy and decision-making.
- Implement and optimize accounting systems and processes to increase efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ComputerEase, QuickBooks, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in construction is a plus.
