Senior Client Intake and Conflicts Analyst - Legal - Boston, MA
We are seeking candidates for a Senior Client Intake and Conflicts Analyst position with a highly successful law firm located in Downtown Boston, MA. This position will oversee and refine the firm’s intake process and will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate identification, resolution, and documentation of conflicts during client onboarding and new hire clearance, while collaborating across legal, operations, finance, and risk teams. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience in legal intake, conflicts resolution, compliance, or regulatory operations.
This is a permanent position that will pay a base salary of $115-120k (depending on experience). This position is required to be onsite 5 days per week in their Boston office.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the new client and matter intake process, ensuring timely and accurate identification and resolution of potential conflicts of interest.
- Design, implement, and maintain a robust conflict management framework to support firm operations.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure intake data is complete, accurate, and well-documented.
- Support attorneys in evaluating and clearing conflicts of interest.
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal support teams to gather required information for new client onboarding.
- Maintain comprehensive records related to client intake, including conflict documentation, engagement letters, and waivers.
- Leverage internal systems and external research tools to analyze corporate affiliations and historical waivers to aid conflict resolution.
- Ensure proper documentation and secure storage of all conflict resolution materials.
- Generate and review monthly reports to verify intake records are current and comply with firm policies.
- Coordinate with the Records Department to facilitate timely processing and distribution of matter-related documentation.
- Classify new client matters accurately by practice area and legal specialty, ensuring records reflect ongoing updates.
- Act as a subject matter expert on conflicts of interest, legal ethics, and best practices in new business intake, offering guidance to attorneys and staff.
- Prepare detailed conflict reports for senior leadership, including Practice Group Chairs and the Risk Management Committee.
- Provide training and ongoing support to staff regarding the firm’s intake and conflict resolution procedures.
- As the firm enhances its internal systems and software, this role will expand to include risk management initiatives, such as supporting business continuity planning, insurance programs, and operational best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 4–5 years of experience in legal intake, conflicts resolution, compliance, or regulatory operations.
- Familiarity with Elite 3E or comparable law firm financial systems is a plus.
- Juris Doctor (JD) preferred, but not required.
- In-depth knowledge of legal ethics, conflict of interest rules, and regulatory procedures in a law firm environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and train staff on firm-wide processes and initiatives.
- Strong organizational, analytical, research, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven setting.
- Proven discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, staff, and firm leadership.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Elite 3E.
Salary : $115,000 - $120,000
