What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Foreman position at Dallas 1 Construction and Development?
Description
To facilitate all construction activities of the assigned Crew through the satisfactory and safe coordination, scheduling, production, and completion of the assigned work. To know and convey to the assigned Crew members the scope and pertinent details of the assigned work, and to complete all assigned work with the safety, and in the time, manner, and quality desired by Dallas 1.
Requirements
- To attend all planning, pre-construction, etc. meetings as requested by management.
- To promptly provide management with feedback on design, plan, material, equipment, personnel, etc. problems either actual or potential.
- To obtain specific approval from management prior to commencing any change order or outside the contract work.
- To maintain, when and where appropriate, open lines of communication and good working relationships with companion subcontractors, other Dallas 1 crews, and employees of clients.
- To insure the proper treatment of all equipment, and properly and safely operate and cause to be operated all company owned and leased heavy equipment, trucks, small tools, etc.
- To constantly during the day inspect and be aware of the condition and maintenance of all equipment. ( i.e.: greasing, water levels, battery condition, rails, tracks, rollers, tires, etc.)
- To properly, respectfully, and courteously maintain communication with all necessary personnel through the company’s radio/telephone or other methods required to do the job.
- To promptly provide management with any requested paperwork, time sheets, invoice coding, daily logs, production data, etc.
- To promptly and properly manage, aid, assist, evaluate, motivate, encourage, and train all members of the assigned Crew.
- To maintain any and all personal licenses and skills required in the operation of all equipment pertinent to the work required of the assigned Crew.
- To stay up to date on all safety procedures, equipment operating procedures, company operating procedures, etc.
- To display at all times proper conduct and good leadership qualities.
- Ability to properly operate a curb machine.
- Knowledge of the properties of concrete, such as strength, slump, additives, etc.
- Ability to read and grade stakes.
- Ability to form and finish curbs, inlets, hand walls, etc.
