Job Summary :
Under the guidance of the ReStore manager, the Assistant ReStore Manager will learn all aspects of the responsibilities for the daily operation of the ReStore. This full time position will work with the Store Manager in providing guidance, direction, and development to the ReStore team to achieve all revenue, profit, and customer service goals. Participates in ReStore marketing activities and ensures donors, customers and volunteers have an excellent experience when working with the ReStore. As a member of the management team, the Assistant Manager will also be responsible for providing excellent customer service, achieving sales goals, and adhering to Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity mission, vision, and values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Manages ReStore staff and the daily operations of designated ReStore location, including timely store opening and closing.
- Recruits, trains, evaluates staff in meeting sales goals, inventory management and customer service performance.
- Responsible for scheduling staff to meet ReStore operational needs.
- Assigns duties to Community Service Volunteers and Partner Family Volunteers.
- Assists the ReStore Manager to develop ReStore procedures and policies related to inventory sales, staff attendance and operational safety.
- Monitors sales activities to ensure customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods and delivers annual customer surveys to track satisfaction.
- Maintains store and equipment and operates equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, dollies and hand trucks.
- Procures materials needed to operate the ReStore daily
- Manages inventory procedures and oversees product display and pricing.
- Oversees store display of items and best utilization of the available space and uses for inventory control system to ensure appropriate turnover of aging stock.
- Coordinates merchandise replenishment and the flow of merchandise from the warehouse to the sales floor.
- Ensures that thorough orientation and safety briefings are conducted
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Environment :
The employee’s job activities occur inside and outside of the facility. This is a typical 8 hour per day position. Employees are not exposed to any adverse environmental conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. The employee is subject to hazards. This includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, high places, and exposure to chemicals.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. Hearing, talking, and vision abilities required by this job include perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, expressing or exchanging ideas be means of the spoken word and close visual acuity to perform an activity such as : preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal. The employee is often required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, grasp, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, push, and pull. The employee will be required to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 30 pounds frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The employee is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned and / or to make general observations of the facilities or structures.
