What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist position at Dallas Behavioral Healthcare Hospital?
We are looking for an HR Generalist/HRIS Analyst to join our team and implement various human resources programs. You should have a broad knowledge of human resources functions, from hiring to onboarding and from employee compensation to evaluation. If you have a passion for HR, are familiar with labor law, and are looking to kickstart your career in the field, this is the place to be. Your role as an HR Generalist will be far from one-dimensional. You will undertake various HR tasks, like organizing training, administering employee benefits and leaves, and implementing HR policies. You will use Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential. The goal is to ensure the HR department’s operations will be running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Supports core human resource processes, including onboarding, employment, labor and employee relations, compensation, benefits, performance management, and workforce planning within a specific business or functional area.
- Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
- Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
- Handles Employee Relations issues (performance, attendance, behavior), policy interpretation, providing guidance to leaders on corrective action, coaching for a positive employee experience, and providing HR recommendations on supporting and aligning their business objectives.
- Serves as an employee advocate to address employee concerns and provides guidance to employees to help efficiently resolve workplace issues.
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
- Undertake tasks around performance management
- Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
- Prepares separation documents and conducts exit interviews and/or grievance procedures; assists in the Company s response and preparation of statements to issues related to employee complaints; identify trends or themes and action items.
- Assists in investigations of employee issues and complaints to ensure timely and appropriate actions are taken; partners with the appropriate stakeholders to recommend and implement solutions.
- Remains current on state & local legislation to mitigate risk.
- Manages highly confidential information
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources, Business or other related discipline from an accredited institution; Masters’ degree preferred
- PHR/ SPHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum three (3) years human resources generalist experience required
- Demonstrated leadership experience including the ability to influence, policy adherence, conflict resolution, and the ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively

- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
Screening: Must successfully pass background check, drug screen, physical and be able to provide positive employment references.
