Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales and Services Manager to join our Tourism team at Visit Dallas. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of programs that enhance and increase visitation from international leisure markets, as well as domestic and international travel trade development. Your expertise in developing and fostering relationships with clients, account management, organizing familiarization tours and showcase events, and destination experience creation will be vital in contributing to the achievement of organizational objectives. This is a full-tim exempt level position.
Essential Role and Responsibilities:
- Foster new and maintain positive and professional relationships with global clients and Visit Dallas members and stakeholders
- Proactively generate new tourism business through trade and consumer promotions in coordination with Visit Dallas members
- Plan, coordinate and execute tourism Familiarization (FAM) tours and Site Inspections for both domestic and international markets
- Represent Dallas at travel trade and consumer shows
- Proactively follow up on all sales initiatives, staying in regular contact with current and potentially new clients
- Create and executive presentations to clients, members and stakeholders
- Create and update product itineraries and other collateral for domestic and international markets in collaboration with the marketing team
- Utilize and maximize department resources, including budget, effectively and within compliance guidelines
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide program support to all department team members as needed
- Utilize and maintain CRM database and other systems in support of tracking activities and client information; generate reports as needed
- Contribute to the organization’s safe, healthy, positive, professional and productive work environment and team culture.

Desired Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience in the tourism or hospitality industry, including CVB/DMO, hotel or attraction sales.
- Intermediate experience working with Microsoft Office suite of products and CRM databases
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
The person in this role will operate in an office environment with frequent and consistent use of a laptop computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, cell phone and copier. It is partly a sedentary role with extended work time sitting and using a cell phone and computer with desktop accessories. There will be frequent occasions working at off-site locations including the convention center, restaurants, music venues and hotels where the environment will vary. The person in this role will need to be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly. Bending, twisting, stooping and reaching above and below shoulder height is required regularly. Extended hours standing and interacting with clients on trade show floors are expected.
Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position with an expectation of 40 hours of work each week. The regular office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm. Evening and weekend work and participation in events that occur outside of the regular office hours is expected regularly and required in this role.
Expected Travel:
The person in this role can expect up to 40% local, domestic and international travel to attend industry and client meetings, conferences, tradeshows and other events or activities. The ability to travel by car and plane and work extended days and hours away from Dallas is required in this role.
