Description
- Knowledge on how to lay out measurements for football, baseball, softball and soccer fields and operate line cutting and marking machine.
- Working knowledge of power equipment that is used to work clay areas of baseball and softball fields.
- General knowledge of heavy equipment needed to re-grade and re-crown football fields.
- Perform any repairs needed for holes and wash out in play surfaces on football, baseball and softball fields with minimal instruction.
- Promote and maintain safe working conditions.
- Knowledge of how to apply top dressing, seed and fertilizer to athletic fields.
- Ensure proper care, use and inventory of district vehicles, equipment and tools as assigned.
- Demonstrate the ability to accomplish work order documentation through all phases of accomplishment from initiation through completion.
- Promote and maintain safe working conditions.
- May supervise Craftsman II and / or Apprentice in the absence of the Supervisor.
- Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.
