POSITION SUMMARY:
The Dallas Mavericks are looking for an innovative and technology-driven Emerging Technology Intern to join our team. This internship is designed for current college students passionate about the intersection of sports and cutting-edge technology.
LENGTH OF INTERNSHIP:
- June 2 – July 31, 2025. (Duration may change because of performance and/or business needs).
- Mandatory In-Person Internship Development Session. (Every Monday)
- Must be able to work 29 hours per week (3-4 day/wk.), which may include nights and weekends as needed.
JOB FUNCTION:
- Conduct research and provide insights on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, augmented/virtual reality, blockchain, and IoT.
- Support the development and testing of innovative solutions aimed at enhancing game-day experiences and operational processes.
- Assist in creating presentations and reports to communicate findings and project updates to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, analytics, and operations, to integrate tech-driven solutions.
- Help analyze user feedback and data to refine and improve technological applications.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for the future of sports technology.
- Stay up to date with trends in technology, sports innovation, and digital transformation.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
To perform this role successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function as well as the following:
- Have a passion for emerging technologies and their applications in the sports industry.
- Possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Display proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Have basic knowledge or interest in coding, app development, or UX design is a bonus but not required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must be a current college Sophomore, Junior, or Senior majoring in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
