The Dallas Symphony has an opportunity available for a part-time position in our Guest Services Center. This is your chance to link your love of classical music with your passion for people!
This position will support the daytime Box Office staff with incoming phone calls from patrons to answer any questions and assist with their ticketing needs. Representatives are scheduled to work approximately 22 hours per week during our peak season (September through June). Scheduled shifts are generally 2.75 hours to 4.75 hours in length but can also range up to 8 hours per shift on occasion.
Responsibilities Include
The ideal candidate for this position will be available to work at least 3 weekdays and possibly weekends depending on staffing needs. The shifts for this position are primarily scheduled to begin at 9:45am. Minimum one year of experience in customer service with outstanding verbal communication skills required. This position pays $15/hour with opportunities for rate increases periodically. Additionally, we offer a fun work environment and free parking.

Responsibilities Include
- Provide excellent customer service and handle patron concerns or complaints while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Take incoming calls to assist patrons with their questions and ticket needs.
- Support additional Guest Services duties as needed (i.e. displaying signage, distributing will-call tickets, packaging mail, make outgoing calls to patrons)
- Accurately process ticket sales, exchanges and donation transactions at the box office counter using the Tessitura ticketing system.
- Process cash, check and credit card payments and assist with daily reconciliation.
