Are you a dedicated and experienced acute care nurse leader seeking an exciting new opportunity? We are hiring a Manager of Med Surg Telemetry RN to oversee a 44-bed Med/Surg Tele Neuro unit. This is a highly specialized unit, managing cardiac and stroke patients, with a 12-bed transition unit (currently inactive but self-sufficient when operational). The successful candidate will have a competitive salary ranging between $95K and $110K, with flexibility for highly qualified candidates closer to $115K.
Position Overview
The Med Surg Telemetry Nurse Manager ensures high-quality, patient-centered care by leading the unit’s daily operations. Reporting to senior leadership, you will supervise 59 direct reports, including CNCs (Assistant Nurse Managers), RNs, Nurse Externs, LPNs, Patient Care Techs, and Unit Secretaries. Your role will be critical in fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead clinical and operational activities to deliver quality care aligned with organizational goals.
- Demonstrate advanced clinical skills, supporting and guiding your team to achieve superior outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient safety, engagement, and satisfaction.
- Manage resources effectively, ensuring appropriate staffing, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Drive continuous quality improvement by participating in department-level initiatives and audits.
- Support and develop staff through mentoring, performance evaluations, and ongoing education.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Handle patient and family concerns professionally, ensuring timely resolution.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of recent acute care leadership experience (Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager) in Med/Surg, Telemetry, ICU, PCU, or Stepdown units.
- Current RN license or APRN (Active Compact RN license accepted).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
- Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree required; BSN preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with a proven track record of driving clinical excellence.
