Location: Gainesville, FL
Schedule: Night Shifts (Rotating Weekends)
Compensation:
2 years of experience: $30.69/hour
5 years of experience: $33.71/hour
17 years of experience: $43.20/hour
Sign-On Bonus: $20,000
Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis
Position Overview
Join our dynamic team in the Observation/Med-Surg Unit, where fast-paced, high-turnover patient care offers a rewarding challenge for experienced nurses. The unit frequently cares for patients with conditions such as chest pain and requires adaptable professionals who thrive in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced observation and med-surg environment.
Perform patient assessments, implement care plans, and document patient progress.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Respond efficiently to high patient turnover, managing discharges and new admissions within the same shift.
Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 4 years)acute care experience in Observation, Med-Surg, or Emergency Room settings.
Licensure:
Current Florida RN license or an RN Compact license with the ability to obtain FL licensure within 90 days of hire.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Registered Nurse Diploma.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) - required within 30 days of employment.
Additional Details
Patient Demographics: High volume of chest pain and fast-paced patient turnover.
Preferred Experience: Nurses with prior observation unit or emergency room experience excel in this environment.
Unit Size: High patient turnover with diverse acute care needs.
